Based in Madrid, you’ll have the chance to explore the cities of Toledo, Ávila, Segovia, Salamanca, and Alcalá de Henares. These medieval cities are stunning and unique in their own ways. In each city, you'll uncover a piece of Spanish history and marvel at their distinct architecture. A highlight of the trip will be an incredible hot air balloon ride over the city of Segovia, specially adapted for you to enjoy the breathtaking views from the sky. On top of that, you'll have time to explore Madrid, Spain's vibrant capital. It’s a cosmopolitan and lively city where you can spend fantastic evenings. Today, you will arrive in the Spanish capital and settle into your apartment. You can take advantage of the time to rest from your trip or to ride around the hotel and enjoy a city full of things to do and with a great cultural offer. Depending on the time of your arrival, we recommend that you go for a ride around the Retiro, the Prado Museum, the Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol or any of the thousands of corners that you can find here. On this day we will visit Toledo, which was once the capital of the kingdom of Spain, and will surprise you with its beauty and history. It is also known as the City of the Three Cultures, as Muslim, Christian and Jewish influences come together here. When you arrive, your guide will be waiting to take you around this majestic city and tell you all its secrets. Fall in love with the monumental Cathedral of Toledo, one of the most beautiful in Spain. Its spectacular mix of artistic styles (Mudejar, Baroque, Neoclassical) will leave you speechless. Continue on your way and visit other places in the city such as the Synagogue of Transit, the Church of Santo Tomé, the Mosque of La Luz or the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. Day 3 - Madrid - Ávila

Today we are going on another excursion to a small but great walled city called Ávila. There you will be able to see with your own eyes how people lived in medieval Spain. With the help of our guide you will once again discover how people lived in different periods in Ávila. It is the highest city in Spain and for this reason it is known as the city closest to heaven. As in Toledo and many other cities in Spain, Jews, Mudejars and Christians lived together, hence its artistic and cultural legacy. Its wall is one of the best preserved in Europe and unique in the world. It is also accessible! You will be able to walk through the streets of Ávila and discover other spectacular corners such as the Plaza de la Catedral with the Cathedral of the Savior, the Palace of the Executioners or the Royal Monastery of Santo Tomás which today houses the museums of Natural Sciences and Oriental Art. You can choose to look for a nice place to have dinner, remember that this area is famous for its meats and great cuisine that you cannot miss. Accommodation.

Today is a very special day as you will get to know the city of Segovia in two ways, the first will be from the sky. Today you will be taken on a hot air balloon flight in which another view of the city awaits you. Segovia, a beautiful city that you will fall in love with, and your guide will take care of that today, who will tell you the thousands of anecdotes that live in its streets. Its title of World Heritage City is well deserved, you will realise this when you look at the Roman Aqueduct. You will discover a magical city! Don't hesitate to get lost in its streets to find its imposing Gothic Cathedral, the Aqueduct with its obligatory photo and of course, the beautiful Alcázar and the Royal Mint. And of course, you cannot leave Segovia without trying its famous suckling pig, choose the place you like the most and bon apetit! Accommodation.

Today's trip will be a little longer than the previous ones, but it's worth it. Today you'll get to know the city of Salamanca, known as the Renaissance city of Spain par excellence. Salamanca is well known for its University, which makes it a cosmopolitan and contemporary city without losing its essence and roots. Travelling around the city will allow you to see wonderful places such as the Salamanca Cathedral, the Plaza Mayor, the Casa de las Conchas or the Convent of San Esteban. And don't hesitate to ask your guide all the interesting facts you want to know, you're sure to be surprised by more than one. Accommodation.

Day 6 - Madrid - Alcalá de Henares

And as the final culmination of the trip, once again a guide will be waiting for you in Alcalá de Henares to visit the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, author of the famous novel Don Quixote. Throughout the day you will find various examples of the writer's legacy in different corners of the city and you can even visit his birthplace. If you are interested in learning a little more about the life and work of the writer, you can visit the interpretation centre of the Universes of Cervantes. It is located in the old parish where he was baptised. If you entertain yourself by wandering through its medieval streets, you will discover great historical buildings from the Renaissance and Baroque, among which the University stands out.
